A very funny trip with my family

The following is the story of a very ecological trip to Naranjales Natural Forest with my dear family:

The past year, I was bored at home when my cousin John called me for invite me to a weekend with our family into a very green forest named Naranjales. That place is far from any city. Therefore, I knew that this could be a very ecological trip. That would be perfect for me because I love the nature.

In this trip were my uncles, my aunts and my cousins. We traveled by earth driving four hours. We were very patience because Naranjales Natural Forest was far from our houses. In fact, that place is far driving by car from Medellin, Antioquia, a very popular Colombian city. About Medellin, I also have traveled to this city, and there are many touristic places that I like, for example the Arví Park, the planetary and the botanical garden.

When we arrived at the entrance of the forest, I saw a green landscape. Everything was very green, specially the grass, although the weather of this place is hot (around 30°C) and the season in that moment was summer. I loved the place at first sight, the green color was really beautiful. While I walked and looked the place, my aunts cooked a Colombian typical food named sancocho, a popular soup that include pieces of chicken, potatoes, beef and pork meat. I remember that sancocho was delicious. My family also told me that others typical food of the region was roast beef, cooked chicken and other foods from de department of Antioquia, like the famous bandeja paisa.

About the hobbies, the better activity in Naranjales Natural Forest is hiking because in this place there is a long ecological pathway. Besides, the forest is perfect for resting and walking into the quiet and green nature. On the other hand, a part of the forest is flat, therefore is possible playing soccer and to practice other sports.
